Tree during outback sunset

This week a pic taken during a trip from a few years back.  I like the starkness of the tree and the contrasting colours of the sunset.

The pic was taken not far from Lake Eyre and the Farina Ruins along the Oodnadatta Track.

Aussie mountain stream

Tucked away in the Lithgow area is the tiny little locality of Newnes.  It is an amazing place, lots of history, nature, State Forests, National Parks, flora and fauna.

We did a long walk from Newnes to a glow work tunnel, where the cool little critters were in abundance.  On the way in this pic was taken...
